50 Years in Inverell 

Established in 1970 as the Inverell Churches Retirement Community, Cooinda has a proud history servicing our community. Cooinda is led by a volunteer Board of Directors, who are all residents of Inverell.

Cooinda provides facilities and services to support residents to feel at-home, feel secure, connect with others and enjoy living independently.

Maintenance

Our friendly maintenance team ensure Cooinda's gardens are full of colour and look beautiful all year round. Residents are welcome to assist in the gardens.

Social Activities

The light-filled Willmott Centre is Cooinda's function room, which hosts a monthly church service, a monthly luncheon, live music and weekly games.

Cooinda's Library is located adjacent to the Willmott Centre and has a wide range of items available for book lovers.

Cooinda is centrally located for residents to easily access Inverell's vibrant shopping centre as well as health services; churches; recreational and social outlets.

Therapy Dog 'Button' 

Button is a gentle and cuddly Cavoodle who joined Cooinda as a therapy dog in 2023. Button visits Cooinda during the working week to interact with residents.

Cooinda Parking

Car & Gopher Parking

Cooinda has under cover parking for a residents' vehicles and gophers. Fees apply for residents to be allotted with a parking space. 

Cooinda Units

All units at Cooinda are either 1 or 2 bedrooms in design, have handrails in key areas, accessible bathrooms and have no steps within the unit or surrounding pathways.

All units feature reverse cycle air conditioning, quality appliances and fixtures as well as built-in wardrobes. Each unit is fitted with security screens on all doors and windows.
